Say My Name by: J. Kenner

Meeting Jackson Steele was a shock to my senses. Confident and commanding, he could take charge of any room . . . or any woman. And Jackson wanted me. The mere sight of him took my breath away, and his touch made me break all my rules.

Our bond was immediate, our passion untamed. I wanted to surrender completely to his kiss, but I couldn't risk his knowing the truth about my past. Yet Jackson carried secrets too, and in our desire we found our escape, pushing our boundaries as far as they could go.

Learning to trust is never easy. In my mind, I knew I should run. But in my heart, I never felt a fire this strong—and it could either save me or scorch me forever.

From the first page, I was hooked and intrigued by the story of Jackson Steele and Sylvia Brooks in Say My Name by J. Kenner. With this story being a part of the Stark series, I was curious to see how their story would intertwine with Damien and Nikki and the cast of characters in early installments of this series. So, as I read I saw that Sylvia was Damien Stark’s assistant with aspirations of making a career in Real Estate, when she happens upon a chance to have her dreams fulfilled.

However, Jackson Steele, a man that gave Sylvia 48 hours, five years earlier that forever changed her life stands in the way and it’s all her fault. Trying to put her past behind her, Sylvia always finds herself staring it slap dab in the face, so she avoids being truly happy. Just in case disaster strikes, she wants to be able to say, “See, I told you so.”

Now, back to Jackson. He is an architect. Not just any architect, but the architect that will send Sylvia career into the outer limits of success. He is 100% certified all male hotness with a silver tongue and boy does he know how to use that thang. He can talk his way in and out of quite a few things as the story progresses.

I digress. Well these two are good together and at times Mr. Jackson seems a little bit too good to be true. I mean I knew he was hiding something and at one point of the story I began to think that Ms. Kenner had spun a tale that made me fall for the villain. But like most things, nothing is what it seems and I pleasantly surprised by how the story built up to a massive cliffhanger that not only gave me a few answers but left me with a world of wonder.

Overall, I really liked Say My Name by J.Kenner. It reminded me why I became a fan of this author and the stories she has to tell. I can’t wait to see what is in store for Damien & Nikki Stark, Jackson & Sylvia, and the amazing cast of characters that make the Stark series worthwhile. Therefore, I am giving Say My Name by J, Kenner 4-stars and recommend that you jog on over and read that.
