Blog Tour: One Night Unveiled by: Jodi Ellen Malpas

The story of Livy and M's passionate love affair comes to a stunning conclusion in the final book in the One Night trilogy!

Book 1--ONE NIGHT: PROMISED
Book 2--ONE NIGHT: DENIED

The conclusion to the new erotic series from the #1 New York Times bestselling author Jodi Ellen Malpas!
A life without secrets and a passion without end . . .The story of Livy and M's passionate love affair comes to a stunning conclusion in the final book in the One Night trilogy!
Livy has never known pure desire like this. The gorgeous Miller Hart captivates her, seduces her, and worships her in deliciously sinful ways. He knows her innermost thoughts, drawing her ever deeper into his dangerous world. Miller will do anything to keep Livy safe, even if it means risking his own life. But his dark history isn't the only thing that threatens their future together. As the truth of Livy's family legacy unravels, an unsettling parallel between past and present comes to light. Her world spinning out of control, Livy finds herself caught between the rapture of an all-consuming love-and a deadly obsession that could destroy them both . . .

It is with an overwhelming feeling of uneasiness that I share with you my review of One Night Unveiled by Jodi Ellen Malpas. I absolutely loved book one, One Night: Promised. I liked book two, One Night: Denied. However, I am at a loss for words as to how I felt about this third installment of Livy and Miller’s love affair. I really do not know what to think about this novel. I mean a lot of questions were answered that were present throughout the trilogy, but even with those answers I had more questions.

Serial Volume Three by Lily White and Jaden Wilkes

With Donovan closing in, his feelings growing for Ronnie, and the sudden realization where their paths crossed before, Jude's composure might be cracking.

Will Donovan get the CK? Will Jude make a fatal mistake? Will Patty make it out alive? And will we ever figure out where Ronnie and Jude met before?

Join us for Volume three in a bold, exciting, dark new adventure from Lily White and Jaden Wilkes.

Can anyone hope to find their happily ever after when a serial killer falls in love?

WHAT?!?!??!?! I have been waiting for Serial Volume Three for months now and I must say I was not disappointed. This story is so twisted and oh so good with so many crazies until you don’t even know who is good or bad anymore at this point.

It is so  difficult to tell you about this volume without including spoilers. But I will say is that Will Donovan falls to a new low and Pet is not who she seems or who anybody, including herself believes she is. While ____ is even more demented than anyone could have imagined. He literally woke up like that and flawless is not word to describe that fool.

But that ending though?!?!?!? The ending was brilliant and the descriptive way the authors concluded this volume darn near deserves a round of applause.

I digress. I can’t wait until the volume. I only hope that Lily and Jaden don’t make us wait too long. So, my recommendation would be to run out and read Serial Volumes One, Two, and definitely Three.

Science of Attraction by: Verity Jacobs

Kate Ramsey is at the top of her game.

She’s the hot new recruit at the most prestigious research institute in Germany, and she’s determined to live up to the hype — even if it means working day and night. Stress relief comes in the form of a no-nonsense affair with her neighbor, who also happens to be the director of the institute. Who says sex should be anything more than a contract between two people who have other things on their mind?

So when Tom Baker saunters into her life, Kate is understandably upset to see this well-oiled machine splutter and seize. Tom is young and smart, and far too pretty for his own good. Kate can’t help but be drawn to him, even if giving in to the attraction would mean risking everything she’s worked for.

The Science of Attraction by Verity Jacobs was a smart, sexy, and fun read. I enjoyed from the beginning.

I had mixed feelings as I began reading The Science of Attraction by Verity Jacobs. I mean I have quite a few friends who have obtained the PhD in some science or another. They have and are still conducting research in their various areas. However, each of them have a weird quirky sense of humor and plain ole everyday weird tendencies. I am forever grateful I met them before they got too awkward and a can appreciate their beautiful minds. Nevertheless, I find their research admirable but unless they use an ordinary buzzword, I have no idea what they are talking about when they attempt to explain their bodies of work.

So this leads me back to the review of The Science of Attraction. I could relate to the premise but I was not sure how entertaining or amusing this novel could be. Therefore, I was pleasantly surprised from the start. This was just a good novel. It was one of the smartest and sexiest reads to date.  Kate Ramsey was smart and knew what she wanted and how to make things happen. She was strong and took charge in a field dominated by men but found herself in a deadened “arrangement” with the director of world-renowned research facility, Rob-“no last name needed”. It was clear and at times unclear the extent of their relationship, but none of that matters because in salters Tom “who can get it” Baker, from the longhorn state of Texas.

The Catching Kind by: Caitie Quinn

Hailey Tate thought she was worth more than a straight flush.

Apparently not.

When camera-shy author Hailey Tate’s agent loses a bet and brokers a deal, it leaves Hailey in the last place she wants to be: backed into the corner of Publicity and Paparazzi. Now, thanks to her girl-next-door image and role as pretend girlfriend to a womanizing shortstop, she's getting the attention she always managed to avoid.

Connor Ryan is not only America’s Sexiest Athlete, he’s also the current Bad Boy of Baseball. But when he goes a base too far, management wants to bench him…permanently. One thing he never counted on? Falling for his sweet, fake girlfriend. He’s the guy who can catch anything and now she’s next on his list.

I loved this novel. It was so clever and sweet, I enjoyed from the beginning to the end. This was truly a novel that demonstrated that you could never judge a book by its cover as Connor and Hailey saw past the stereotype inflicted upon them, not only by others but by themselves.

I must admit that I did not like Conner at first. He wasn’t mean but just rude. Conversely, Hailey perpetuated her given stereotype daily and even though she could have done better she just chose not to do so. She was really a “take me as I am” kind of girl. However, once the two of them got together, regardless of the circumstances, you saw the magic happening and unfold as you turned the page.

Touch & Go by: Mira Lyn Kelly

USA Today bestselling author Mira Lyn Kelly cranks up the heat for two lifelong friends whose most secret longings come true in every delectable way.

Vivacious and successful, Ava Meyers is living her dream life, except for one thing: Ever since childhood, she’s been in love with her best friend . . . and she’s never admitted it. Back then, Sam Farrow was a damaged young man with a tough past. Now he’s supremely confident, super-sexy, and totally untouchable—until the night when Sam pretends to be Ava’s boyfriend to save her from some unwanted attention. In a moment of weakness, Ava finds out that a long friendship is no match for blistering sexual chemistry.

After years of denying his own feelings, Sam finds that one amazing night with Ava isn’t enough to chase away all the pent-up fantasies. So he proposes they spend a few weeks driving each other wild, exhausting their every desire, and then return to their perfect platonic relationship like nothing ever happened. But Sam’s plan has one fatal flaw: the part where they give each other up. Because the more they let go of their inhibitions, the more they’re tempted to never go back.

Touch & Go by Mira Lyn Kelly was just plain ‘ol everyday good!!!  I liked Ava Meyers, an attorney and the heroine of the story from the very beginning. From a grown-up depiction of her to the young girl portrayal, she was just so likeable and relatable. And then there was her best friend and Sam Farrow who was just a little bit of everything any girl could ask for in her dream guy. He was funny, he was charming, and had the looks with the body that many of women simply couldn’t resist. I mean one would be inclined to call him a man-whore with a gorgeous smile.
These two, along with Ava’s brother Ford, have been friends for twenty years. But for the majority of those twenty years, Ava has loved Sam and has fought for years to keep these feeling buried. Conversely, Sam has loved her, but has always thought he was just not good enough for her to love him back. So, basically for twenty years these two have been struggling with themselves to do whatever they thought it took to keep the other one in their lives, even if it meant living half a life.
So after one night of Sam accompanying Ava to a work function and a dare neither of them balking at the challenge, their lives changed forever. Thus, the drama and shenanigans ensued. From their fun and relatable friends to the flashbacks that told us how Ava and Sam and Ford became to be. I also got a glimpse of the horrifying events of Sam’s life that he hides behind his bright smile.
I nearly loved this novel because I initially thought this was a stand-alone. I mean Sam’s and Ava’s story had all but ran its course, but I felt there was something missing. But then just as I was sulking about that feeling of something being missing and I really wanted to know more about that Ford, I learn that there may be a chance of reading more because this is the second novel in Mire Lyn Kelly’s series entitled Dare to Love. Therefore, not only do I have to go back and read book one Truth or Dare, but I will hopefully have a book three to look forward to. So yes Ms. Kelly, I loved this story, but I have one request. Please let book three be about that Ford.
I digress.  I highly recommend that for anyone who is looking for a well written romance novel, with great characters, and just enough steaminess, run and read Touch & Go by Mira Lyn Kelly.
