Layers Peeled by: Lacey Silks

So, I just finished the second book of the Layers trilogy today and I immediately got entranced in this book. Tristan deserves to be arrogant in this book  and every installment before and after because he is so very good at what he does; and he does it all oh so well as it is written between the front and back covers of Layers Peeled. On the other hand, Little Miss Trouble better known as, Allie, is into all sorts of shenanigans. At multiple turns, Allie leaped before she looked on so many occasions to a point where I just wanted to scream at her "look at your life, look at your choices". I was hoping that Tristan would just tell her to sit down somewhere until the little one arrived.

The entire Cross family was back in this book along with Allie’s mother and best friend now business partner, Laura. However, you could really see the progression of time as each character had grown in some way or another. Rather it was Allie’s mother finally feeling safe or her best Laura opening up about her relationship with James. I also, got a glimpse of a recovering Kendra and Tristan's brother Julian together as a couple as well as the cousin Gabe and the love of his life Sam. You can read more about Sam and Gabe's love affair in a prequel novel entitled Dazzled by Silver.

Overall, I liked Layers Peeled, it was better than I thought it would be and I would recommend it to someone who is looking for steamy scenes that happened in a bedroom...kitchen...office...a closet and even against an innocent tree in the forest, with a dash of action and suspense thrown into the mix. I will be running to read both Dazzled by Silver and then Layers Off to finish off this Layers Trilogy and so should you!
